I love my baby girl!

Makell is already a STAR!
She was asked to be baby Jesus in our ward's Christmas program. Tyson was a little concerned that everyone would think that she was a boy, so after we put a big bow on her so there was no confusion! She did great! No crying at all while on stage.

Aunt Kara came over to play dress up and take pictures with Makell and I. Makell loves to play dress up! Okay not really, she got sick of it pretty fast. We ended up getting the the best pictures when she had the hiccups because her eyes would open up wide. In this picture she is wearing a dress that my grandma crocheted. Grandma made it pretty small and it was still was too big! (as you can tell) We took it in a lot in the back.

Then I thought Makell was small enough to put in her stocking that my mother-in-law made...
And I was right!

New Proud Parents!

She is here! Makell Jean Garn was born on
Wednesday, Nov. 26th at 2:54 AM.
She weighed 5 lbs 12. oz and stretched 19 in. long.
This little girl is the highlight of our lives!
She really doesn't have red hair, it must be the lighting.It is hard work eating! I went to my doctor appointment that Tuesday morning;
she decided to start me later that afternoon
and Makell came early the next morning.
Delivery went well; no complications in that area.
I am eating while they are sleeping!
Dad and Tyson were a little bored and tired! Makell did have to spend a few days in the NICU to stablize her glucose and oxygen levels, but she pulled out of that strong and we were on our way home by Saturday.
It was so hard to see her all hooked up, but we knew that it could have been worse. We were very grateful nothing more serious happened. It was so nice to be able to hold her with no strings attached!

How scary is this?

This was my Halloween costume that I wore to school.
Skeleton mommy and skeleton baby!
My students loved it! I won third place in my school's contest!

This is what we wore to the Halloween party that we went to.
A priest and a pregnant nun.

Baby Showers!

This is a picture of us girls getting together for dinner at Olive Garden for one of my baby showers. It was so much fun catching up on each others lives and visiting. Thanks for all the cute clothes, gifts, and advice. You guys are the best!

Opening weekend, and He is tagged out!

After helping his father for a month on his elk hunt and helping my uncle on his elk hunt, Ty was more than happy to be carrying his own rifle on the opening day of his own hunt. He shot this buck opening day. This is his first 15 pointer! He thinks that it is to small but I think it is cute because of all of the points. It is definitely not a traditional 4 by 4, it is an 8 by 7.

Does this baby make me look FAT?

Here is an updated picture for those of you that haven't seen me lately. I am 33 weeks here and I can feel it! Ty and I are very excited for this little angel to enter into our lives!

Back to School!

So it has been awhile. August just kept getting busier for me and slower for Tyson (as far as work is concerned). Volleyball season started the beginning of August and I started teaching on the 20th. I am still coaching the sophomore team at Bear River and teaching at Fast Forward High School in Logan. This is my 2nd year coaching and teaching and I love it! Although it was very hard going back to work after having the summer off, I did it! The worst part was just getting past the first few crazy weeks.
Now that I have gone back to work Tyson thinks that he only has to work 4 days a week and hunt the other 3. Which makes no sense because I was still getting paid during the summer! But really his work slows down towards winter time, which works out nicely for him so he can spend more time on the mountain. Right now his father and brothers are preparing for the big elk hunt at Mt. Nebo! His father drew a tag and they are all determined to find the biggest elk possible. I am sure we will see the Grand Prize shortly.

Munns Reunion Belly Contest

We just had our Munns Family Reunion over the 24th of July. Throughout the weekend I compared bellies with some of my uncles. I just couldn't leave without a profile picture of my uncles and myself. Once we got all lined up, this stray dog from another camp came and put his hind end in the picture. He stood still until the pictures where done. Apparently he wanted to enter his hind end into the belly contest! It was quite amusing.

Memory Post

There are a few of these going around this one sounded the most fun to me. I would love for you to comment. Hopefully it won't make me miss any one too much though..
*1. Add a comment of a memory you have of the two of us together. It doesn't matter if you know me very well or just a little, it can be anything. It can be a recent memory or from way back. Once you leave a comment I will assume you are playing too.
*2. Add these instructions to your own post and wait for the memories to start rolling in..

More than HALF WAY!

Here I am at what I thought was 20 weeks. It turns out that I was a week and four days off. So this is me at 21 weeks 4 days. That was nice to cut 11 days off in minutes. Now I will be expecting to deliver around Thanksgiving time.
So the all those who voted girl, you guessed right!
Now if you have any girl name ideas be sure to let us know because Ty and I are having a hard time agreeing. I know we have awhile, but it is still fun to start thinking!

No more snow on Jamie's Car!

Yeah! I have a roof! That is all I wanted before snow fall. But I didn't tell Tyson that or he would probably quit working on it now. Here are a few pictures of the process and all of our wonderful help. Thanks for all those who have been helping.

This is our truss setting crew. Tyson, John, Kyle, Dave, My Dad and my little brothers.
This little brother, Casey, just ate otter pops. :)
They are all up! Now for the roof.
This is Tyson's ladder.
Tyson and his cousin Ryan finished all the sheeting on the roof another day.
Thanks guys!

House Construction

Some of you know that we moved into our house last fall, just because we have moved in doesn't mean that it is complete. The summer has brought on multiple projects. Tyson has been eagerly working on leveling the ground so we can get some landscaping in as well as starting to build the garage.
Here is our rock wall that WE have been working on. We as in Tyson lifting, placing the rocks and sweating profusely, while I sit in the red chairs and tell him which rocks to use and where to put them. Poor Tyson! Sometimes I change my mind and he has to replace it. I really wish I could help with the hard labor but those rocks are just too heavy!
One day when I was gone I came home to most of the rock wall finished. I assumed that he just wanted to get it done and I was slowing him down with my picky decisions, so Gavin came over to help him finish while there were no women around and it looks Great! Smart Men!
Here is the garage that is nearly bigger than my house! Tyson just can't wait to get this finished. Ty and his cousin Ryan started one Saturday morning and worked all day to get this far. That has been about all the work on the garage. All the walls are up. Not bad for one day's work!

Next on the agenda:
Get the trusses up for the garage
Pour the cement for the front patio and driveway

Happy 4th of July!

I hope that eveyone is having a great holiday weekend! I know we are. We are up in Bear Lake soaking up the sun with my family.

Baby on the way!

Some news that I haven't posted. Tyson and I are expecting our first child on December 9th! I am 17 weeks along and we are going to find out the gender of our baby later this month on July 22nd! How exciting! If you would like to take a guess boy or girl, see the poll!

What we have been up to!

Tyson and I met during the summer of 2005.
We started dating and have never stopped!

We were married later that fall on October 28, 2005 in the Logan Temple.

I finished my first two years of school at the U of U, then when I got married I transferred to Utah State to finish. Fortunately, I was able to continue my track career with a scholarship at Utah State. I high jumped all four years of college and it was a great experience most of the time, particularly when I was not injured.

This was at WAC Indoor Championships.

This is a video from the Washington State Indoor Invitational.

I graduated from Utah State with a Mathematics/Statistics Teaching degree and I just finished my first year teaching at Fast Forward Charter High School.

Tyson has been working at Neal Manufacturing building cabinet doors since before we were married. In his spare time, he is usually with his brothers and friends hunting.

He loves to go antler hunting! I wouldn't say that it is a hobby of his, it is more of a disease. He can't get rid of it.

He also loves going scouting for mule deer and elk before, during, and after hunting season. It doesn't matter what time of year it is. He can always scout the animals so he knows where their antlers will be, where they will be for the next big hunt that is coming up, or just to get some really cool and interesting photos. The photos below were through a spotting scope. He gets creative.

And that is what has happened in the past few years!
Recent news will be on next time.

Battle Wounds

This is Tyson's injury from playing basketball on Sunday. He took the picture with his phone and sent it to me so I would feel bad for him.
