Delayed Halloween Pictures

I am sad to say that I missed my daughter's first Halloween! It was the same weekend as state VB and I thought I would be home but our VB girls ended up playing really hard and they did really well. I never Tyson wouldn't like taking her so I had to call and beg him to take him to my moms. So little miss Tinkerbell went Trunk-R-Treating with Capt. Jack Sparrow (Grandpa Munns).
She is suppose to be Tinkerbell. I made her costume, but I didn't quite finish the wings. They really aren't suppose to be pink, but oh well she still looks cute!

Back to Work

The time has come, that dreaded August morning when the bell rings and I am teaching again! It really hasn't been that bad, but I do miss being with Makell all day long. I thought it would be nice to have a little break from her because she was getting clingy, but now I miss her soo much.
It has been soo fun watching her grow and developing a little personality. She is such a girl! Dramatic, sassy, needy, clingy, adorable, and soo lovable! Now that we have entered the mobile world it takes a lot more work to keep track of her, but it is fun. All these stages are so different, I can't even compare which stage I have liked the most. There are times when I miss the moments of her infant cry, but now I love watching her discover a problem and figuring out a solution all by herself. They are so curious about everything. It amazes me how smart they are at this age and how fast they can catch on. She mimics every noise we make. It is so cute!

I forgot to post pictures of our road trip to Mt. Rushmore during the summer. My dad and all his brothers planned this trip and Kara and I decided to tag along with few of our cousins as well. It was a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures from one camera but I know my cousins took more. I will have to get a hold of some of those.
On our way we stopped at Independence Rock and Martins Cove. Me all made it to the top. Even Makell!
I had one of those moments where I felt like the worst mom in the world. It was so sad! We were moving from one camp to the next camp and us cousins were not pulling the trailers so we went a different way and left the caravan. We were on a long stretch in the middle of Wyoming and we were about 15 minutes out of Newcastle and our gas light was on and Makell was screaming! It had been a very long day and she wanted out.
Since I was driving I couldn't actually see or figure out the problem with her. I had a naive little brother sitting back with her texting and not paying much attention to her at all. We weren't willing to risk stopping and running out of gas so we just let her cry for a bit. We did finally coast into Newcastle and pulled into the gas station. I get her out of her car seat and she was stinky and wet. Not just her diaper, but her legs, clothes, and car seat were wet!
I took her straight into the restrooms to change her, but then I realized that I didn't have a change of clothes because they were all packed in the trailer which we left. We searched the whole car and found her swimsuit. I tried to clean out the car seat the best I could, but she still had to get back in because we still had 45 mins till camp. I found a burp rag and laid it in the bottom and we were on our way. When we got to camp it was chilly and late so she was wearing my sweater with her swimsuit underneath. I felt terrible!
This is the Indian Crazy Horse. When it is finished it will be bigger than Mt. Rushmore. The dark is a small model of what it will look like. All they have done is the face.
Don't you think that her face deserves to be up there!

!SUMMER TIME!

Here is a post for all those who have gotten after me for not posting. Sorry!
I thought that because it was summer, then I would have more time to post pictures. WRONG! We just got more busy with vacations! My mom, sister, Makell and I went to Boston to see my little sis, Amanda. It was lots of fun!
First stop, the Atlantic Ocean! I don't think that this will happen to another one of my children, but Makell has been to both oceans in her short eight months of life! Her father hasn't even done that. She will probably hate me later because she won't remember these trips. Oh well!
The sites were very fun to see and learn about them because apparently I didn't listen too closely in History class :)
The Mayflower
Plymouth Rock
Eliza and Serena are two of the girls that Amanda nanny.
They loved Makell and took very good care of her. Makell and the squirrels were very intrigued by each other while we had lunch in the park.
We were looking at maps probably 50 percent of the time that we were there.
We finally made it to Paul Revere!
And you can't go to Boston without making it to Fenway! The game was great! Makell had a hard time with all the cheering at first. She cried every big play, but once she got some food and a nap during the second and third inning she was fine.
Aside vacations,
This is what happens when I let Makell go over to Grandma's house. Her loving Uncles spend quality time with her!

Long update of Pictures!

I can't believe how time flies by. Makell will be four months old next week! It looks like she is going to learn how to walk before she learns how to crawl. It has been so long since I have posted some pictures. So here are the latest and greatest.

Blessing Day!

We got home from vacation on Saturday night and then blessed her the next morning. It was a very special day for Tyson, Makell, and I.

My Grandma Winkler crocheted her blessing dress as well as the blessing blanket. I really love them and Makell looks so beautiful in them.

Grandma Winkler so proud of her little girl.

A lot of FIRSTS!

Makell's FIRST Christmas was very fun. We didn't really do the Christmas morning thing, because Tyson and I were sick. But we got feeling better so we could go on my family's Christmas trip to California! This trip was planned before Makell was planned so it was a little tough, but we all survived! It was very nice to have 10 babysitters at hand.

For Makell's FIRST Christmas she went on her FIRST Vacation and it started with her FIRST plane ride.

She actually did very well. Only fussy once, but she sure does look mad.

It was pretty cold in California, so this is what she looked like most of the time.

We went to Disneyland and California Adventures.

She likes Daisy Duck.
And A Bug's Life.
We also went to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and Universal Studios. Here is the whole Munns Clan at the Dolphin show. It was a very fun trip and Makell being the only grandchild didn't slow us down too much.

I finally caught a smile!
